Heritage Course Curacao!

                                                      
This is the website of the first edition of the Caribbean Heritage Course in Curacao. This site will soon be adapted as part of the preparations for the next edition of this course in 2013.
 
For whom?
The Caribbean Heritage Course in Curacao was for:

  • Heritage professionals in the entire Caribbean region; 
  • Others in the Caribbean region such as university students, researchers and decision makers whose actions can impact the planning, management, conservation and maintenance of Caribbean immovable heritage.
Academic credits
This course was assigned 4 ECs (European Credits) by the University of the Netherlands Antilles.
 

Admission requirements:
- Participants must be able to operate on an academic level;
- T
hey should be working with or active in an agency or institution, related 
  to cultural heritage (conservation, research, management or promotion of 
  cultural and natural heritage);

A detailed résumé or curriculum vitae should be sent in together with the
   Registration form.

When
The Caribbean Heritage Course in Curacao consisted of the course modules 1 and 5 of UNESCO's Caribbean Capacity Building Program (CCBP).

The classes for both modules ran from Monday through Friday, between 09:00 and 17:00 hours.

Where
The Caribbean Heritage Course was organized in Curacao's capital Willemstad; an inspiring heritage city that has been figuring on UNESCO's World Heritage list since 1997.
